Jeff Greenberg

Born in Brooklyn NY in 1971, Jeff Greenberg started painting 20 years ago in Los Angeles. With no formal training in art, Jeff has used his love for vibrant colors and rich textures to produce striking and surprising images. His major influences have been Kandinsky, Pollack, Parla and Britto. Jeff applies paint with palate knives, sponges, putty knives, saran wrap and his fingers—just about everything but brushes. More recently he has been working with Encaustic Wax, which is a technique using Beeswax mixed with pigments.  His broad range of media includes Oil, Acrylic, Ink and industrial materials such as Screws and Bolts. His work has been shown at the Tivoli Coop in Tivoli, NY, Gazen Gallery in Rhinebeck, NY, Ava Flora Gallery in Cold Spring Harbor, NY and J Cohen Gallery in New York City. He has participated in many charity events and art shows in the New York and Maryland area.  Currently he is working on two exhibits, one for the Staten Island Heart Society and another for Erase Hate Through Art in the Columbia, MD.  Every Encaustic Wax Painting purchased is a 50% donation.  All paintings Jeff produces have texture and vibrancy that gives his artwork the WOW factor.
